Ibarra partners with The Spark Project in introducing the Salvador World Timer in its crowdfunding platform (www.thesparkproject.com) on the 28th of August, Monday. The much awaited next model of Ibarra is finally coming and now is your chance to get it first!
THE SALVADOR WORLD TIMER
Inspired by classic timepieces while keeping the Filipino in mind, Ibarra created and is set to launch a new watch that aims to bridge boarders for our countrymen here and abroad. The Salvador, named after the steam vessel that our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal boarded when he first travelled abroad in May 3, 1882, is a world timer which shows the various timezones across the globe. One thing special about this world timer is that it features "MANILA" as one of the timezones. Through this, it will be easier for Filipinos abroad to know the time at home in Manila while Filipinos at home will find it easier to know the time where their loved ones are abroad.
The Salvador houses a Miyota 8215 movement, which has an accuracy on 21,600 beats per hour (BPH), and lumed hour and minute hands. The watch has a scratch-proof sapphire glass and is water resistant up to 5ATM or 50 meters.
The Salvador is currently in production and will be ready for its official market release in mid-November. However, interested individuals can reserve a watch by supporting Ibarra's campaign with The Spark Project. Reserving a watch allows you to save up to 40% off from the official release price.
THE PRESIDENT'S WATCH
Ibarra Watches has been in the market for almost two years dating back to 2015. In 2016, the brand launched its first automatic watch, Plaridel, which was well-accepted by the market because of its classic high-domed glass and simple dial. The Plaridel was also seen to be worn by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte during his trips abroad. Included as one of the rewards in Ibarra's campaign with The Spark Project is a quartz variant of the Plaridel which is now coined as "The President's Watch".
Crowdfunding is a modern-day manifestation of the Filipinos' bayanihan and Ibarra believes that this is one great example of uplifting Filipino brands together. Ibarra's campaign with The Spark Project will begin on the 28th of August and will conclude on the 12th of October.
